Titi Camara - your memories
I'm writing an article about Titi Camara (it's a kind of Where Are They Now? thing) and I want to get fans' memories about him as a player.

Obviously he didn't play many games - and had zero impact when he did! - but if you can recall any of his performances then post them here. Same if you remember any other stories about him, or if you ever saw him falling out of Faces at 4am with Rigobert Song.

I seem to remember him promising when he arrived that he'd score "Goals, goals, goals" for us and then didn't score any.

I'd want to use some of the your quotes for the article, which will appear on the Yahoo Football website this week. So if you don't want your comments to be used then let me know, and they won't be.

Also posting something on a Liverpool forum to get some balance! I think they actually quite like him there.

Cheers,
GD

Up at Anfield a few years back on our usual pilgrimage to get stuffed ,the year we went down , he had a chance to score & get us back into the match......but put it half way up into the Kop.

Our response was " That's why were going down " .
Fair play to the bin dippers, they thought that it was quiet funny & all clapped.
Probably the biggest round of applause he ever got there.....

Went up to Old Trafford under Rodent and we lost three nil. Ian Pearce was up front and Camara was on the bench and never came on. That's how shit he was.

Another player from the African diaspora who many suspected was a lot older than was officially stated...

I always thought that was why Liverpool got rid along with Rigobert Song...So many clubs were taken for mugs around that time.

Illunga must have been 7-8 years older than he said too! Newcastle have just signed a centre-back who was registered with 3 different birthdays - he could be anything from 21 to 32!!!

Many people who I've known that are African continue to state that the practice is widespread - even today...they always say that the children of immigrants born in Europe are the only birthdays that you can really trust!

It's a consistent theme in West Africa

Remember him warming up on the touchline in front of me.

The Michelin Man in a West Ham shirt.

He was a man who obviously liked his burger and chips.

Why he decided to embark on a career as a professional athlete is beyond me.

I recall him trying an overhead kick at Upton Park once and he missed the ball completely. Can't remember who we were playing but it was in front of the BML

Leicester away if memory is right he done all the hard work then blazed the ball so high over the bar and the stand that it still probably hasn't landed yet

I remember him being fat and shit at Liverpool

I remember him being fat and shit for us

I also remember thinking that rigobert song showed more skill than him on his debut when he tried to dribble past 3 players in the edge if our own penalty area, beat one, lost the ball and conceded a goal. Still better than anything camara ever did

Foxe, soma or dailly would have been better up front. Richard Garcia was better! David bellion was better for us. Bloody dowie was better

I didn't rate him much
